A Key Water Feature Has Been Turned Off at Journey of Water in EPCOT
Ever since Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana opened at EPCOT last year, the walkthrough attraction has proven to be very popular.
While the overall aesthetic and interactive water features have made Journey of Water a popular stop for fans, young and old, we have also seen Disney struggle to keep all of the attraction’s interactive elements functional.
Earlier this year, we saw the “wet path” section of the attraction close as the water was “not feeling playful right now.” That effect was eventually turned back on in late February. Now, however, just a couple of months later, another effect has broken down.
Today, when visiting World Nature at EPCOT, we stopped by Journey of Water. Here is a look at the current state of the attraction.
The Ocean Water Effect Is Blocked Off
Unfortunately, the Ocean section of the attraction is currently not operational. The interactive water feature, where guests jump up and down to launch water into the air, is currently blocked off by planters.
It looks like the water has been turned off in the section altogether.
As there are multiple entrances to the water feature, Disney is really getting their money’s worth out of the rolling planters.
At this time, it is unclear why the effect has been turned off or how long the section will be closed.
For now, however, the rest of the attraction is running normally.
