Kathryn Hahn and Patti LuPone Praise Marvel’s ‘Agatha All Along’
During Disney’s upfront presentation, Marvel Studios finally revealed that Kathryn Hahn’s upcoming WandaVision spinoff is, in fact, titled Agatha All Along.
Perhaps more exciting for Marvel fans was the revelation that the series will debut on Disney+ with a two-episode premiere on September 18, 2024.
Agatha stars Hahn, Joe Locke, and Patti LuPone were on hand for the festivities. While the plot of the WandaVision spinoff is largely being kept under wraps, the trio gushed about the upcoming series.
“We can say that the coven is strong,” Hahn told Deadline. “We can say that it is hilarious, and deep. And I was moved to work with all these people every day. It was a gratuitous dream that it happened to be this group to go through that together.”
“And it’s a musical!” LuPone inserted.
‘Agatha All Along’ Will Use Minimal CGI
According to Hahn, it was important to the Agatha team that the series used “minimal CGI.” Of late, Marvel’s reliance on CGI has been a hot-button issue for fans and critics.
“There is very little that is not practical magic, which is our magic,” Hahn added. “That was very thrilling. [The] sets were incredible and it was like a practical… it just felt delicious. It was a very immersive experience.”
“The production design and the set dressers, and the lighting, and the costumes, everything about it, it appeared to all of us when we saw it, that everybody on the creative end were at the top of their game,” LuPone added.
“It’s gorgeous to look at on top of it being a fantastic story. It looks like a 100 million dollar movie.”
Agatha All Along will premiere on September 18, exclusively on Disney+.
