Ralph Ineson Has the Perfect Response to Being Cast as Galactus in ‘The Fantastic Four’
The star-studded cast of the upcoming Marvel Studios film The Fantastic Four is continuing to expand.
Earlier this week, we reported that John Malkovich has signed on to appear in the film alongside Pedro Pascal (Reed Richards), Vanessa Kirby (Sue Storm), Joseph Quinn (Johnny Storm), Ben Grimm (The Thing), and Julia Garner (Shalla-Bal/The Silver Surfer).

Hot on the heels of Malkovich news, The Hollywood Reporter has discovered that Game of Thrones star Ralph Ineson is set to join the film as the Galactus.
Who Is Galactus?
As Marvel fans know, Galactus, who is known as the devour of worlds, is one of the Fantastic Four’s greatest adversaries. More of a force of nature than a villain, Gactus is also the entity that gave the Silver Surfer the Power Cosmic.

With the revelation that it is Galactus and not just the Silver Surfer who the Fantastic Four will be going up against, Marvel is set to introduce perhaps its biggest antagonist yet.

Galactus was previously portrayed as a cloud of smoke in 2007’s Rise of the Silver Surfer. Fans were, understandably, disappointed in the portrayal.
Ineson’s Response
Following the revelation that Ineson would be portraying Galactus, the actor took to X to respond.
“World devouring cosmic villain is it? I’ll see what I can do,” he said.

It sounds like Ineson understands the enormity of the role he is about to play. Let’s just hope that Marvel Studios can finally give fans the big-screen adaptation of Galactus that they have always dreamed of.
Interestingly, last December, Ineson sued The Walt Disney Company over injuries he sustained on the set of the Disney+ series Willow. Based on the latest news, it looks like there is no animosity between the two parties.

The Fantastic Four will hit theaters on July 25, 2025.
