Amphicar Tours Have Been Suspended at Disney Springs Due to Dwindling Water Levels
If you have been reading along here at MickeyBlog, or perhaps are a resident of Central Florida, then you know that Walt Disney World is in the midst of a drought.
With rain a rare sight as of late, the low water levels of Disney World’s bodies of water have begun to impact the resort’s transportation systems.

Water transportation to Disney Springs has been paused.
Last month, we brought you the news that boat transportation to Disney Springs has been paused as the Sassagoula River’s water levels had dropped to dangerous levels.
At the time, we talked to Cast Members at The Boathouse, who told us that the restaurant’s Amphicars would continue operating as they were small enough to sail in shallow water.
Amphicar Tours Have Paused
Well, after two more weeks of dry conditions, it looks like water levels have decreased to the point that that is no longer the case.
As of today, the Aphicars at the Boathouse are not operating and have been parked on the dock.
Here is a look at the vehicles.
When Will The Tours Resume?
At this time, it is unclear how long the Aphicar’s operation will be suspended.
With no rain in the 10-day forecast, however, it doesn’t look like water levels will return to normal anytime soon.
So, if you plan on visiting Disney Springs, especially if you are staying on the Sassagoula River, be prepared. With boat transportation paused Disney is running extra buses to and from Disney Springs.
As always, continue to check back with MickeyBlog. We will continue to update you on all the news coming out of Walt Disney World.
