Exactly 35 years ago today, Disney’s Hollywood Studios opened its gates to the world! We’re in the park to check out the celebrations, including some new merchandise and even a commemorative park map.

There is also a special ceremony happening to celebrate, so let’s go check it out!
Hollywood Studios 35th Anniversary Celebration
The commemorative ceremony took place at Theater of the Stars this morning.
We went over to the theater around 10AM and there was already a huge line! But, we got inside the theater and were able to snag a seat for the ceremony.

Some of the people that spoke during the ceremony were the Vice President of Hollywood Studios, Jackie Swisher…
…as well as one of the ambassadors for Disney World.
The ceremony was basically a big thank you to the Cast Members who have worked at the park over the past 35 years!
They chose 32 Cast Members and honored them.
They also went over how Hollywood Studios has evolved over the years.
And, we got a special appearance from Kermit and Miss Piggy!

At the end, characters came out and did the Fantasmic! dance!
There was a bunch of confetti for the celebrations.
What a great way to mark this major milestone!
