15 Layer Baumkuchen Cake Coming to EPCOT Tomorrow!

Disney Eats shared the news on Instagram today. A behind-the-scenes video was also included in the “Foodie Alert” post!

It reads, “Starting tomorrow, June 6, Connections Café at EPCOT will be offering delicious Baumkuchen – translated Baum (tree) Kuchen (cake). You will love this new treat with 15 layers of delicious goodness!”
Wow, 15 layers! But, what exactly is a Baumkuchen Cake?

This dessert originated in Germany. When sliced, the layers look like tree rings, which is how it got its name.
