BREAKING NEWS: Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Has Reopened
Our MickeyBlogger is currently at Disney’s Hollywood Studios with some very exciting news! After a rather lengthy closure, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster has finally reopened to guests! We’re told by cast members that this is being considered a “soft opening” and guests are queuing up as we speak to climb on board!
We were so surprised when we noticed that wait times were posted on My Disney Experience this morning showing that Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster had reopened.
There was a 50-minute standby line listed for the attraction when we decided to pop over to see if the headlining attraction had indeed reopened.
As we previously reported here at MickeyBlog, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster closed to the public on February 21, 2023.
At the time of closure, rumors were swirling that Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster was going to be rethemed. The ride draws its inspiration from Aerosmith and is a high-speed limo chase as the band tries to make it to their concert on time!
Our MickeyBlogger Melissa spoke to cast members at the ride and has since reported that a re-theme HAS NOT happened.
It was confirmed that the popular indoor coaster was closed for routine maintenance and nothing more!
The Aerosmith-theming remains.
We can confirm that one thing that has changed is that the large Aerosmith poster near the Stage Door Entrance has been removed.
If you’re lucky enough to be at Walt Disney World this Memorial Day Weekend then be sure to pop over to Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster and celebrate this awesome reopening!
As mentioned above, current wait times for Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster are being posted online on the My Disney Experience app.
Guests should be prepared for longer-than-usual waits as it is a busy holiday weekend.
Wait times for Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster were coming in at just under an hour this afternoon. We expect this to only increase as word gets out about the reopening.
Readers are encouraged to follow MickeyBlog for further Walt Disney World news and updates.
