Four Awesome Experiences Kids Can Have at EPCOT’s Flower & Garden Festival
If you’ve been following along with us here at MickeyBlog you’ll know that the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival is currently in full swing at Walt Disney World. During this time of year EPCOT is brimming with beautiful blooms, awesome eats, exclusive merchandise and so much more. But don’t for a minute think that Flower & Garden is just for grown-ups. There are also special offerings during the fest that kids of all ages are sure to love.
With that in mind, here are four of our favorite experiences for kids at EPCOT during the Flower & Garden Festival which runs at the park through July 5, 2023.
Camp Get Out ‘N’ Play Garden Presented by OFF! is the Perfect Place for Kids to Frolic
If your kids need a bit of space to burn off energy and moms and dads need a break, we’ve got the perfect place. Near Test Track and the Creations Shop you’ll find the Get Out ‘n’ Play area. This camp-themed zone has everything kids need to play and explore! There’s also a little shade that parents are sure to love!
The EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival Get Out ‘n’ Play Garden was designed for kids from the ages of two to six. Here you’ll find a variety of play options including climbing obstacles, spring riders, and a padded grass area! It’s the perfect place to get those wiggles out!
Imaginations Take Flight at Butterfly Landing
This is one of my personal favorites during the EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival. Butterfly Landing is located near the Imagination! Pavilion in the World Nature section of the park. Here, families can observe many species of butterflies up close and learn fun facts about these incredible creatures including their life cycle.
A trip to Butterfly Landing is both awe-inspiring and educational. There are plaques posted around the exhibit that will teach kids about the different stages of a butterflies life! Plus, nothing beats the looks on the faces of your little ones when a butterfly chooses them as a landing zone!
Help Spike the Bee During a Special Scavenger Hunt
Who doesn’t love a scavenger hunt!? Spike’s Pollen-Nation Exploration is the perfect way to keep kids engaged as you stroll around the World Showcase. Simply pick up an official map at select merchandise locations and then head out on a search to locate 12 Spike the Bee locations across EPCOT. Mark them with the provided stickers and redeem your map at Disney Traders or World Traveler for a special treat!
How Many Magical Character Topiaries Can You Find?
Your kids will want to have their cameras at the ready as you make your way around EPCOT. A highlight of the Flower & Garden Festival each year for adults and kids alike are the whimsically wonderful character topiaries. Highlights for 2023 include new Encanto and Princess and the Frog topiaries!
It’s so much fun seeing how many different Disney characters you can find during your visit! There’s seemingly a new friend around every corner!
We’ve merely skimmed the surface of the awesomeness that is Disney’s Flower & Garden Festival.
