Walkway Between Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa Now Open
There are quite a few ways to get to Magic Kingdom – bus, Monorail, Ferryboat, resort water taxi, and even by walking.
Exciting news, the walkway connecting Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa to Magic Kingdom is back open!
We’ve been following the construction that has been ongoing for the new Disney Vacation Club Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.
We’ve also been keeping an eye on the newly refurbished guest rooms at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa that have greatly impacted the ability to use this walking path.
The walkway connecting Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and the park closed on February 13, 2023.
Guests were encouraged to use the resort Monorail and the resort’s water taxi services until the walkway reopened in “late spring.”
While the walkway from Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort & Spa is still being detoured, we’re excited that guests will be able to use the convenient walkway from Grand Floridian to enjoy the peaceful walk to and from the park again!
It is approximately a twelve minute walk while going at a “normal” pace. Here’s a quick video showing how the walkway is now open to guests going to and coming from Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa.
