Actress Faren Collins is Living Out Her Disney Dream With TRON Lightcycle
Meet actress Faren Collins, who voices the role of Siren for Disney World’s latest attraction, TRON Lightcycle/Run. Faren Collins had a dream to be a part of Disney when she was just 10 years old and it’s a dream that was ultimately fulfilled with the opening of Magic Kingdom’s newest coaster.
If you’ve ridden TRON Lightcycle/Run then you’ve definitely seen Faren. She is featured as the Siren which is a program on the Grid at TRON Lightcycle/Run in TEAM BLUE artwork with the bold reminder that “Winning is our Destiny.”
Faren’s father was a huge fan of Disney as Faren was growing up and his favorite films were TRON and TRON: Legacy. Not only would he watch these films on repeat but would take Faren to Disney whenever he had a chance. Recently, Faren visited the attraction and was reminded of a statement she made to her dad when she was 10.
According to Faren, during a visit to Disney with her family when she was just 10 years old she proclaimed to her family, ‘I’m going to be here forever.’ Little did she know that decades later that proclamation would become a reality.
Faren worked hard to chase her Disney dreams. She enrolled in musical theater, acting, singing and dance classes beginning early in school and then after graduation. Like other aspiring entertainers, she auditioned for a role only to discover that she had landed the role of Siren for TRON Lightcycle/Run.
For those unfamiliar, in the film TRON: Legacy, Sirens are known to be helpful. Though they only make a brief appearance in the film, Disney wanted this character to be a part of TRON Lightcycle/Run
Faren recently had a chance to visit TRON Lightcycle/Run and meet with Imagineers to learn about all of the incredible details that went into the attraction. “I had no idea the details they put into it,” Faren said. “It’s beautifully laid out. Those details make all of the difference. Every cast member has a role – it’s beautifully executed.”
The actress said that it took four rides on TRON Lightcycle/Run before she remembered that statement made to her family as a girl of 10. “It’s full circle!” she says. “I was like, oh my gosh, this is happening and I’m living out my childhood dream (I’m sorry, I’m getting emotional). It’s indescribable. It’s truly a dream come true.”
