June is almost here which means that Disneyland will embark on its 2023 Celebrate Soulfully event! Celebrate Soulfully includes music that is sure to move you, delectable eats and treats and more.

Celebrate Soulfully at Disneyland Park
Guests can gather to celebrate the vibrant songs, powerful stories and rich history of Black culture with a variety of uplifting experiences the whole family can enjoy.

Meet Ariel (From the Live-Action Film) – Starting This Summer!
Meet the curious young mermaid from Disney’s live-action release who dreams of adventure and has come ashore to explore the world above! She’s looking forward to meeting you!
Artist Events at Eudora’s Chic Boutique
Events showcasing Black artists will be taking place at Eudora’s Chic Boutique in New Orleans Square. You’ll even be able to get artwork signed by the creator.

Experience Tale of the Lion King
Now is your chance to rediscover Simba’s journey in this heartfelt live show featuring storytelling, music, and dance.
After Tale of the Lion King head next door to the Troubadour Tavern. This quick-service stand celebrates Tale of the Lion King with a special menu featuring African-inspired snacks and tasty bites.
Frederick Douglass Exhibit
Head to Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln where there will be an exhibit paying tribute to American Heroes including Frederick Douglass at the Main Street Opera House. Douglass was a prominent leader of the abolitionist moment. He escaped slavery to become a renowned social reformer, writer and statesman.
Fantasyland Souvenir Popcorn Bucket
Everyone in your pride can snack in style with the purchase of a souvenir popcorn bucket featuring Simba from Disney’s The Lion King. Availability may vary.

Happenings at Disney California Adventure Park

Encounter Black Panther, Dora Milaje and Captain America at Avengers Campus
Assemble your team and head to Avengers Headquarters during Celebrate Soulfully for some epic encounters. You’ll cross paths with Black Panther, learn the wisdom of Wakanda and even train with General Okoye. Also be on the lookout for the new Captain America!
Five & Dime
Celebrate Soulfully with this Dime and her jazz quintet perform hits of the ’20s and ’30s with brass and sass.

Meet Moon Girl
Head to Hollywood Land in Disney California Adventure Park where for a limited time you encounter Moon Girl from the animated Disney series, Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur now available on Disney Channel and Disney+. For those unfamiliar, the series follows the adventures of 13-year-old super-genius Lunella Lafayette and her 10-ton T-Rex, Devil Dinosaur.
Nightly Live Entertainment on the Hollywood Backlot Stage
From June 1- June 20, 2023, the Hollywood Backlot will be home to a block party, 7 nights a week. Live musical acts will keep the party going as you dance, chill out and celebrate soulfully under the stars.
Acts include Midnight Hour, a group offering the best sounds of Motown, along with Finesse who cover popular tunes from Bruno Mars to Stevie Wonder. There’s also The Rhythm & Blues Brothas, a dynamic group of singers brought together to share their passion for R&B and soul.
Celebrate Soulfully with Special Dining
Indulge in some soul food-inspired flavors? Award Wieners will be serving up a BBQ Hot Link Sandwich and Strawberry Cheesecake Funnel Cake Fries a la Mode. Step right up to the Studios Catering Co for a unique take on the Shrimp Po’ Boy.
Celebrate Soulfully at Downtown Disney District
Keep the celebration going at Downtown Disney with family-friendly activities, nightly live music, and soul-warming cooking.
Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen
During the month of June, Ralph Brennan will be celebrating with a newly created cocktail – the Brough Bro Lily – This drink features Brough Brothers Bourbon which is made by one of the only Black-owned distilleries in the country and the first Black-owned business of its kind in the state of Kentucky.
Splitsville Luxury Lanes
Savor incredible dishes including Country Fried Steak that is perfectly seasoned and lightly battered then fried and topped with sawmill gravy.
Naples Ristorante e Bar
Order up Kwame’s Cajun Chicken Finger Meal served with Cajun spicy remoulade, Cajun corn maque and roasted potatoes.
Happy Ice
From June 9 to July 4, 2023, you can cool off with ultra-premium Philadelphia Italian ice from this Black-owned food truck located near Star Wars Trading Post.
Downtown Disney LIVE! Stage Entertainment
Get ready to groove to nightly musical entertainment featuring artists like The Singers of Soul, Forward Motion Band and More! Different musical genres will be celebrated each week. This includes:
Monday: Jazz Fusion
Tuesday: Caribbean
Wednesday: Mid-Century Jazz
Thursday: Top 40
Friday: Vintage R&B
Saturday: Top 40
Sunday: Gospel
And on Saturdays from 1:00 to 4:00 PM, hit the dance floor as a DJ plays upbeat, hip-hop hits.
