After first announcing an expansion for Disneyland Resort in March 2021, Potrock shared details on the economic and environmental promise that the remarkable Disneyland Forward project could have on the Anaheim area. He shared the data yesterday during a talk yesterday at the OC Forum Luncheon at Disney’s Grand Californian Resort.
The Woods Center for Economic Analysis looked at three scenarios as part of the study:
– An incremental investment of $1 billion by Disney
– New hotel or equivalent Disney Vacation Club
– “Full build-out” of maximum entitlements including a theme park and hotel pic.twitter.com/XvdAJmqM49— Scott Gustin (@ScottGustin) May 18, 2023
With Mickey Mouse by his side at one point, Potrock mainly focused on the positive economic impacts that a billion-dollar Disneyland expansion would have on the surrounding area for decades to come. He shared three possible scenarios, according to Tweets shared by theme park reporter Scott Gustin.
