BREAKING: Genie+ Changes Coming Soon to Disney World
After FastPass+ was discontinued, Genie+ became the replacement service that many Disney World guests tend to either love or hate.
Genie+ is a paid service that allows paying guests the opportunity to book attraction Lightning Lanes, which typically have much shorter waits than the standard standby lines.
Right now, booking is limited to each day of your visit, which makes it difficult for some to plan out a visit in advance, but things may be changing soon.
Genie+ Changes
Currently, Genie+ can only be purchased on the day of your visit. That means, if you’re visiting Disney World on June 15th, you can’t purchase Genie+ until June 15th.
This applies to each day of your visit, so even if you’re staying for a week, you must purchase Genie+ each individual day. This means you’re also likely going to be booking Lightning Lanes from your phone throughout the day in the parks.
Disney announced that they have “heard from guests that they would like ways to plan with Disney Genie+ service and Individual Lightning Lane selections before the day of their park visit,” and that they are working on ways for guests to do this beginning in 2024.
According to Disney, “Our goal is to give you the opportunity to spend less time planning in the park and more time enjoying your visit with friends and family.” They cannot share specific details right now, so we’ll be watching closely for more updates!
