One EPCOT Pavilion Will Be CLOSED Tonight For Extended Evening Hours
If your idea of the perfect night in a Disney Park means fewer crowds and shorter lines, Extended Evening Hours are for you.
Extended Evening Hours are an extra two hours in a pre-scheduled Disney Park after it has closed to the public, typically taking place on Mondays and Wednesdays in either EPCOT or Magic Kingdom. To qualify to attend an Extended Evening Hours event, you must stay in a deluxe Disney World hotel.
May 1st marks an Extended Evening Hours event in EPCOT from 9PM to 11PM, and although not everything remains open and available within the parks, many rides stay open. If you’re planning to visit EPCOT for the May 1st event, however, here’s what you need to know.
France Pavilion Will Be Closed
During our visit to EPCOT this morning, we received a message within the My Disney Experience app, notifying us that the entire France Pavilion would be closed for Extended Evening Hours. This includes Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure.
This may be a disappointment to some people, as Extended Evening Hours are a good time to ride popular rides and take advantage of much shorter ride times, as less people in the parks means fewer crowds.
However, note that the other EPCOT pavilions should remain open, and should you qualify for Extended Evening Hours, you also have the opportunity to book a virtual queue for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at 6PM, with return times to take place during the event.
