BREAKING NEWS: New Scenes Coming to Star Tours in 2024
If you’ve been following along with MickeyBlog you’ll know that Star Wars Celebration is currently underway in London and we are starting to get some of the fabulous news revealed during this week’s panel events One of the most exciting tidbits revealed is that new scenes are going to be coming to Star Tours at Disney theme parks in 2024. This includes three versions of the Star Tours attraction at Disneyland, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disneyland Paris.
Star Tours has the distinction of being the first Star Wars attraction and opened at Disneyland back in 1987. As the Star Wars universe has expanded new scenes have been added to the attraction. Disney will be continuing this tradition with exciting new adventures. However, Disney is keeping the location a secret. According to Scott Trowbridge, Portfolio Creative Executive at Walt Disney Imagineering, “Some surprises are best experienced as part of upcoming Star Wars content.”
We can only assume that some of the locations we’ll see in the updated Star Tours draw inspiration from storylines that we may not know about yet!
