Another Store Taken Over by Magical Disney100 Merchandise
Any guest who’s visited Walt Disney World over the past few months is sure to have felt the magic of the Disney100 celebrations, which have been sweeping through the resort like party-ready, platinum pixie dust!
With the anniversary event well under way, we’ve noticed many aspects of the parks have received slight, celebratory updates for the occasion, especially seeing as the 50th decorations have all now been removed.
However, it has to be said that these 100th anniversary changes are clearly most apparent in the stores across the resort, with many now stocking a whole range of commemorative goods…
On a weekend trip to the Magic Kingdom, our MickeyBloggers noticed a yet another new display of 100th anniversary merchandise had magically appeared within one of our favorite stores in Storybook Circus.
While Big Top Souvenirs used to house a whole section dedicated to the Walt Disney World 50th anniversary, this has now been removed, and the Disney100 has truly settled in.
Let’s head into the tent, and check it out…
As you can see from our photos, the new Disney100 display is apparent as soon as you step under that colorful canopy. Right at the front of the store is a framed portrait of Mickey Mouse, clad in his spectacular 100th costume, with enticing merchandise piled high around him.
But, that’s just the beginning, as the deeper we head into the store, the more and more well-stocked shelves of anniversary sparkle appear to us….
Located in the Storybook Circus area of Fantasyland, Big Top Souvenirs is best known for stocking items including toys, plushes, and apparel for all ages. Well that, and a mouth-watering array of sweet treats, of course!
In the entranceway, we can see items like the newly-released Lego Duplo Disney Castle playset, as well as the Disney100 Rubik’s cube, and other fun items.
On the reverse side of the “main” display, we can see sweet gifts such as candy bars, mint tins, and other treats… as well as that spectacular firework Spirit Jersey design, available in kid’s sizes!
Deeper into the store, we can see even more apparel items, including loungewear, headgear, Crocs, and even more Spirit Jerseys!
This range includes those highly sought-after purple platinum ear hats, which are looking plentiful in stock here at Big Top!
These newly-added displays of Disney100 merchandise add Big Top Souvenirs to a long list of recently-converted stores across Walt Disney World, that guests can rely on when looking for hot new anniversary items. Elsewhere in the Magic Kingdom, the Emporium is a fantastic place to visit, with World of Disney at Disney Springs also a fan-favorite outside of the parks.
Recently, we’ve been loving the fun new window decorations which adorn the Celebrity 5 & 10 store over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, too!
However, if you are still looking to grab items left over from that fabulous 50th anniversary, it is worth noting that a small selection can still be found at Big Top, tucked right at the very back of the store.
A decent array of toys, gifts, and apparel are amongst the leftovers – presumably the bits that weren’t snapped up during that big sale the other weekend!
Thank you for coming with us on our look around Big Top Souvenirs this weekend. We hope you’ll pay a visit to this bright store on your next visit to the Magic Kingdom.
In the meantime, be sure to stay tuned to MickeyBlog.com as we monitor all the changes brought by the Disney100, and more. It’s an exciting time at Walt Disney World right now, and we love having you enjoy it with us!
