See What 50th Anniversary Disney Decor Remains in Magic Kingdom
It may be April Fool’s Day but we’re not joking when we say that Disney World’s 50th anniversary ended yesterday…and not much has changed in the parks.
We learned yesterday that Disney would start removing 50th anniversary decor as early as this weekend, and we’ve observed some changes throughout March, too.
We didn’t know what to expect when stepping into Magic Kingdom this morning on April 1st, and let’s just say we’re…surprised.
Magic Kingdom on April 1st
So basically, nothing has really changed in Magic Kingdom! Cinderella Castle is still displaying the circular, iridescent 50th sign.
We already knew that the gold statues would be remaining for some time, and sure enough, they’re still out there — complete with 50th logos.
In the Emporium, a 50th anniversary merchandise display remained…
…as well as a ton of 50th merchandise. If you head to Disney Springs, you may be able to find some 50th merchandise on sale, but it wasn’t on sale in Magic Kingdom.
50th anniversary gift cards were still available in Emporium, as well as the old Magic Kingdom park map, even though we found the new, updated park map this morning.
We’ll be watching closely for more changes throughout Disney World, so keep following MickeyBlog for more Disney news!
