March 31st marks the end of Disney World’s 18-month 50th anniversary celebration, and that means some big changes are coming to the parks.

Namely, it means 50th anniversary decorations, which currently exist in many areas around Disney World, will start getting removed — and now we have an idea of when that might happen.
Goodbye 50th Anniversary Decor
As reported by Scott Gustin on Twitter, Disney will begin removing 50th anniversary decorations as early as this weekend, with an overall phased removal process expected.
NEW: The WDW 50th décor will start coming down as early as this weekend. This includes the phased removal of 50th anniversary embellishments on Cinderella Castle.

We’ve already seen some 50th decor removed, but this would also include the popular 50th sign placed on Cinderella Castle.

The 50th sign will be removed soon
But don’t worry — Spaceship Earth’s gorgeous Beacons of Magic displays will continue to light up the nightly sky in EPCOT.

But what about all those gold 50th anniversary statues? They’re expected to “stick around for awhile.”
You can currently find these gold statues all over Disney World, and the MagicBand+ can also interact with them.

We expect to start seeing more Disney100 decor pop up around Disney World, but there’s no telling when (or if) the gold statues will start getting removed.
