MCO Is Back With Comedy Tweets – This Time, It’s “Muppets as Airlines!”
Ok, so when I wrote that post about MCO spending the day posting photos of “Chris Evans as Airlines” on their official airport Twitter feed, I never imagined I’d get the chance to come back with a sequel.
Yet, here we are.
Are you looking for the most uplifting start to your weekend? Well, the high-flyers over in the MCO social media department have once again delivered, and you’re not going to want to miss this!
About a month ago, Orlando International Airport took to Twitter with the most random, yet hilarious feed.
They’d basically assembled a fleet of different airline companies, and provided side-by-side photos of their planes with color-matched photos of Chris Evans!
Yep, that lovely (and highly attractive) guy from Captain America.
Don’t believe this is the kind of content provided by such a highly-regarded and important hotspot for international air travel and transit? Well, the feed went on for a good few hours, and evidence of that can be found in my article here.

Honestly, researching that feed was probably the highlight of my journalistic career so far.
Anyway, as much as I’d love to stick to musing all things EvansAir, I’m really here to tell you that, last night, the comedy geniuses in MCO’s social media department did it again.
They’ve gone and landed on their feet with an airline-color-comparison sequel, and I’m so pleased to be sharing this with you on this beautiful weekend. Are you ready for it?
Upsettingly, they’ve not chosen another Marvel hunk to use as the subject for this exploration, but rather delved into a different branch of Disney.
Perhaps not quite as drool-worthy but still as hilarious, it’s The Muppets!

Yep, this is Orlando International Airport, gracing our feeds with a thread they’re calling “Muppets as Airlines”.
You know the drill by now, so let’s get scrolling and see what they’ve come up with!
Kermit the Frog as Aer Lingus
Kicking it off, we’ve got our favorite froggo Kermit represented by the gorgeous green Aer Lingus. I’m obsessed with the glittering rainbow photo they chose to use here, as that rainbow really sets the feel for a magical feed ahead!
Miss Piggy as Avelo
Next up, we’ve got Miss Piggy, represented by Avelo. Is this airline fabulous enough to handle her? Orlando International seems to think so!
And, they were just getting started, as the feed continued with…
Sam Eagle as American Airlines
I mean, who else? You’ve got the two most patriotic flyers ever here – Sam Eagle and American!
Gonzo as United

Janice as Spirit Airlines
Continuing with the theme, here we have Janice as Spirit Airlines. Then, just like last time, followers of the feed started putting in requests for more Muppet-Airline collaborations…

Which takes us to
Zoot as Alaska Airlines
Then it’s Zoot as Alaska Airlines. It’s an interesting choice, but aesthetically it works!
We also have
Rizzo the Rat as jetBlue
Would anyone fly a plane piloted by Rizzo? If his pizza is so controversial, I’m not sure how his air travel would fare.
Tragically, MCO decided to stop the thread there, declaring they “only had a minute and a half” to provide us with such quality content. So, other Twitter users started chiming in with their own inspirations:

It even got a bit opinionated at one point, which is unusual for Twitter…

Once again, I’d just like to express my sincere gratitude to Orlando International Airport on Twitter, whose content is always sure to make us laugh. I’m hoping they’ll be back with more amusing comparison content soon.
How about “Disney Park attractions as Airlines,” perhaps? But then, would anyone really want to travel on a carrier if it was compared to something as chaotic (albeit cute) as Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway? We shall see!
