New Path Open in EPCOT as Transformation Continues
EPCOT has been undergoing a BIG transformation for years now. It has included things like new attractions, stores, restaurants, and more.
This transformation also means that construction has been going on for a while. This construction has altered the way you get around the park since some areas aren’t accessible right now.
It’s a bit of an inconvenience, but we have good news, because getting around just got a little bit easier!
New EPCOT Walkway
There’s a NEW walkway in EPCOT! We found this path connecting World Celebration and World Nature.
It’s located right across from the Spaceship Earth exit and connects to where the entrance is for Coral Reef Restaurant.
If you’ve been to EPCOT any time in the past few years, this is VERY exciting news!
There is a NEW walkway in Epcot now! This new pathway connects between “world celebration” and “world nature.”

This means that the path around the exit area of Spaceship Earth no longer leads to a dead end! It will just re-route you over to World Nature.
Sure, this might not seem like a huge new walkway in the grand scheme of the EPCOT construction, but it’s definitely a great step in the right direction.
That direction being an EPCOT where we can actually walk through the middle of World Celebration to get places instead of going allllll the way around. That will eventually be the case, but we’ve still got a ways to go!
Remaining EPCOT Construction
You might be asking, “what else is being built?” that’s preventing you from walking through that part of the park. Well, let’s talk about it!

One part of the area still under construction is for Journey of Water — Inspired by Moana. This is a walkthrough attraction that will be part of World Nature.

It’s supposed to open up in the fall, so we don’t have to wait very long!

Other things in still in the works include the CommuniCore Hall and CommuniCore Plaza. These will be a major part of how EPCOT celebrates their various festivals moving forward.

CommuniCore Plaza will be a large outdoor area for guests to hang out…

…and CommuniCore Hall will house things like a gallery as well as be the new home of the Mickey & Friends meet and greet! These should both be opening in late 2023.
