50th Anniversary Design No Longer On Animal Kingdom Map

Good morning MickeyBlog friends and Disney fans! The MickeyBlog team is up early today and our first stop is Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Right away we noticed some new changes and updates, even before we made it into the park.

First up– the new Animal Kingdom map now features a new cover…and the iconic 50th Anniversary design is gone.

The map still features the beautiful blue and green colors and the iconic Tree of Life on the front.

This is just one example of many of the changes that are coming to the parks as we get closer to the end of the celebration.

50th Anniversary Decor Disappearing 

Can you believe that the 18 month, Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary celebration is coming quickly to a close?

The “World’s Most Magical Celebration” is here though March 31st, but the parks have already begun transitioning.

Earlier this week, MickeyBlog shared photos of Main Street and the golden citizen 50th Anniversary clock already taken down. 

And the lampposts on Main Street are also missing the colorful 50th anniversary banners.

Our reporters also noticed that the large gold 50th Anniversary logos were removed near Cinderella Castle.

There are so many changes and they are happening quickly. You only have a few more days to visit Disney World and enjoy what remains of the 50th Anniversary Celebration.

But even though one Celebration is coming to a close – don’t forget there’s another exciting celebration happening right now. Disney’s 100th anniversary celebration is sure to bring more excitement and decor to the already fabulous parks.
