Jeff “Swampy” Marsh Will Return For Phineas and Ferb Revival
When a revival of the popular animated television show Phineas and Ferb was revealeed last January, Disney announced that original co-creator Dan Povenmire would be returning to the the helm the project.
While fans of the series were obviously thrilled to hear that Phineas and Ferb was coming back, one lingering question remained- would fellow co-creator Jeff “Swampy” Marsh also be returning?
A Welcome Return
For those who don’t know, in addition to be being a long time partner of Povenmire, Marsh co-created Phineas and Ferb and voiced a variety of characters, including Major Monogram.
Well Phineas and Ferb fans, you can finally take a sigh of relief. Today, Disney announced that Jeff “Swampy” Marsh will be returning to executive-produce and voice-direct the upcoming revival.
Part of the Disney Family
Aside from his long standing partnership with Dan Povenmire, Mash also has a long history with Disney.
In addition to Phineas and Ferb, Marsh has worked with Disney on Milo’s Murphy Law, and his current show Hey A.J.
“Swampy is one of the brightest creators in animation and among his many passions is connecting and collaborating with creative people, whether it’s through writing, animation design, directing, music or acting,” said Meredith Roberts, EVP of Television Animation at Disney Branded Television. “He continually elevates their artistry, as well as his own, to tell the bigger and more entertaining stories for global audiences.”
When Will Phineas and Ferb Return
With the gang back together, I can’t wait to see new episodes of Phineas and Ferb. While we don’t have an exact release date, the show is expected to hit Disney + in 2024.
