Details on Animal Kingdom’s 25th Anniversary
There are a lot of Disney anniversaries happening right now! Disney World is currently celebrating its 50th Anniversary and Disney as a company is celebrating its 100th anniversary.
But, do you know which other big anniversary is coming up soon? Animal Kingdom is turning 25 this year!
That’s right — April 22nd, 2023 will mark 25 years since the amazing Animal Kingdom opened on Earth Day in 1998. We knew Disney would be celebrating, and we just got a few more details about how!
Animal Kingdom Anniversary Celebrations
Animal Kingdom is a very special park, so it deserves some very special celebrations! Disney just revealed that for its 25th anniversary, there will be new sweet and savory treats, specialty merchandise, and limited-time character sightings in the park.
They also said that there will be MORE surprises on April 22nd, the actual date of the anniversary! And, we should be finding out more details about all of the celebrations soon.
Animal Kingdom is not just a theme park, it’s a part of Disney’s ongoing efforts to help conserve wildlife and protect the planet. In fact, the Disney Conservation Fund has directed $120 million to support nonprofit organizations doing just that since 1995.
