Behind-the-Scenes
We’ve seen Wondrous Journeys in person, but recently, Disney shared a behind-the-scenes look at how they create the show every night! In a new video from Disney Parks, you see a mini tour of the show from Cast Members in the park after hours.

In the video, we’re taken inside one of the control rooms used for the show. This room features a giant wall of screens that lets technicians monitor everything going on during Wondrous Journeys. This allows them make sure all of the special effects are timed perfectly!

Outside on Main Street, U.S.A., we’re shown where the projectors for the show are in the windows above the shops. The video also shows how they use an alignment grid to makes sure the projections are all lined up.

We also get a look at one of the projectors hidden in plain sight over near “it’s a small world.”

And, you can even see how the pyrotechnics work! Up on the rooftops of Fantasyland you can see where the controls are for these effects.

These controls let Cast Members do things like shoot flames 50 feet into the air for the show!
