Light & Power Co Gets New Clock Ahead of TRON Lightcycle Opening
If you’ve been following along with MickeyBlog you’ll know that Tomorrowland Light & Power Co, the shop adjacent to Space Mountain, is getting an overhaul. Light & Power Co. is just across the way from the new TRON Lightcycle/Run at Tomorrowland and will share a footpath with the attraction. With this in mind Disney is refurbishing the retail shop. Gone are the gears and Mickey icons and it looks like Disney is reverting back to a traditional Tomorrowland motif.
Our MickeyBlogger was on the scene at Tomorrowland in the Magic Kingdom this morning and noticed that a new clock has debuted on the building.
As you can see the Light & Power Co. clock features a futuristic lightning bolt hour hand.
Just beneath the clock, you’ll see the traditional Tomorrowland logo.
It looks like the areas to the right and left of the clock are still a work in progress.
The signs in front of the shop are either covered or have yet to be replaced.
If the new clock face is an overall indication of the aesthetics for Light & Power Co. we can’t wait to see more.
Disney has yet to say when Light & Power Co will reopen.
We suspect that this will coincide with the opening of the TRON Coaster which is happening on August 4, 2023.
We’ll continue to follow this construction project closely. Keep following along with us for further news and updates!
