FIRST LOOK: Easter Eggs Now on Display at Grand Floridian
We are so excited to share the news that the Easter Egg display has returned to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. The Grand Cottage, where you can procure some Easter goodies is open daily starting today (March 7, 2023) and running through April 10, 2023.
I know I say this every year, but Disney cast members have really outdone themselves when it comes to this years EGG-stravagant creations.
First up is this adorable display inspired by Florida oranges.
Sitting on top of an orange crate is our friend Orange Bird. If you look closely you can see that Orange Bird has an egg as his base! Super clever!
This year’s display features an eclectic mix of themes. We love the egg above celebrating Disney’s 100th Anniversary by taking a look back…complete with a replica of Walt!
Next up in the Grand Floridian egg display is a piece inspired by beloved film Luca.
The Luca-themed artwork really captures the beauty of the Italian Riviera.
We love the elegance of the Victorian-style egg below.
It features beautiful pastel hues and precious petals!
The flipside of the egg features a wonderful image of Bambi.
You can see Bambi frolicking with his friends in the forest.
Don’t be late for your important date…this Alice in Wonderland-inspired clock egg is here to keep you punctual.
Look at all of the gears that make up the clock. It is so incredibly ornate. We also love Cheshire Cat giving us a mischievous grin at the bottom.
The clockwork theme continues on the other side where you can also see White Rabbit and Alice in Wonderland.
We move from Wonderland to Arthurian legend with this next egg.
This beautiful Grand Floridian egg was inspired by The Sword in the Stone.
You’ll notice Merlin and Arthur in the painting above.
Excalibur appears at the top of the egg.
The Sword in the Stone egg sits on a base made to look like a replica of the stone found in Fantasyland.
The next egg was inspired by the Country Bears Jamboree.
It features the Sun Bonnets on stage right in the middle of their musical number.
The flipside of the Country Bears egg features many of the portraits that you’ll notice in the Frontierland theater.
Look at those fabulous details from Big Al to Teddi Barra.
We were so surprised to see this egg featuring Totoro from Studio Ghibli but we are here for it!
On the surface, the egg below looks beautiful and ornate.
However, if you look closely you’ll notice lots of Hidden Mickey’s.
How many Mickey heads can you count!?
The next display draws its inspiration from the Main Street Electrical Parade complete with light up details!
Then we head over to 100 acre wood for this beautiful Grand Floridian Easter Egg featuring Winnie the Pooh.
Pooh is seemingly in hot pursuit of a bit of honey!
We love the forest feel of this beautiful egg.
As you can see from the description, the egg was inspired by The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.
We love the way that Daisy’s cottage was meticulously recreated in this next display.
The details on this beautiful house are so plentiful that we notice something different every time we look at these images.
From the hearts that make up the siding to the flowers in the window boxes, this Grand Floridian display is stunning.
This next display reminds me of the chocolate Easter Bunnies I used to find in my Easter Basket as a kid.
But, this version is massive!
Notice how the Easter Bunny is carry a basket filed with eggs and flowers!
This egg was still a work in progress during our visit but features a mural of some of our favorite Disney characters. We can see Pinocchio, Minnie, Evil Queen, Hercules and more! We can’t wait to see the finished product!
This next display is a colorful recreation of the beloved Kevin from Pixar’s film Up.
Here’s Kevin being the proud parent with three little chicks below.
