Padawans, Jedis, and Younglings alike will be disappointed that the popular lightsaber building experience is unavailable.
The MickeyBlog team found empty shelves at Tatooine Traders at Hollywood Studios. Apparently this lightsaber building experience was so popular that it ran out of parts!
Lightsaber Building Experience at Tatooine Traders
The build-it-yourself lightsaber activity at Tatooine Traders is a more affordable building experience compared to Savi’s Workshop.
While Savi’s Workshop is our list of eight must-do’s for Star Wars fans at Hollywood Studios, the price for one lightsaber is steep. At Tatooine Traders, you can take home a lightsaber for nearly tenth of the price for one at Savi’s Workshop!
This experience lets you create a plastic lightsaber that suits your style.
First, you choose your emitter, followed by your blade. Then, choose a hilt and customize it your favorite rings and sleeves. There are long and short sleeves and either long or short rings. Finally, use an adapter to create a double lightsaber or complete the look with an end cap.
At least the Cast Members are having a good time waiting for new parts!

When back in stock, you can enjoy this lightsaber building experience at Tatooine Traders. You can also find droid building and buy specialty merchandise like apparel, accessories, home goods, and toys. The shop is next door to Star Tours near Galaxy’s Edge.
