Must-Try Menu Items at Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival
If you’ve been following along with MickeyBlog you’ll know that the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival is officially underway and will run at the Happiest Place on Earth until April 24, 2023. As part of the Fest, guests can enjoy pop-up dining locations at dozens of Festival Marketplaces found throughout the theme park. These Marketplaces have menus that are brimming with irresistible bites and beverages.
With that in mind, there are some exciting eats and treats that we’re pretty exciting about sharing with you!
Fully Plant-Based Menu
This year, Paradise Garden Grill is serving up a plant-based food menu during Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival.
Highlights include:
- Torta de chilaquiles: fresh-made telera bread with green chilaquiles, chorizo beans, chipotle crema, pickled onions, cilantro and avocado spread.
- Buffalo mac and cheese topped with roasted buffalo cauliflower and accompanied by a ranch, carrot and celery salad.
- IMPOSSIBLE™ gyro fries: waffle fries topped with gyro spiced IMPOSSIBLE™ ground beef, cauliflower cheese sauce, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, tzatziki and pita bread.
Brand New Offerings for 2023
This year, you’ll find over 60 new dishes at the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival
- Kenny’s family cheesecake- Berry Patch: topped with mixed berry compote
- BBQ beef brisket slider- Cluck-A-Doodle Moo: featuring Fiscalini Farmstead smoked cheddar with dill pickles on salt and pepper brioche.
- IMPOSSIBLE™ nacho mac and cheese- Avocado Time: cheddar mac with seasoned IMPOSSIBLE™ ground beef, tomatoes, olives, jalapeños and guacamole.
- Elote paleta- Golden Dreams: sweet corn paleta with parm crema, chile-lime seasoning, corn crunch and cilantro.
- Grilled peach toast- Pacific Wharf Cafe: with ricotta-mascarpone spread and arugula salad on toasted sourdough bread (Pacific Wharf Café).
A Sweet Selection of Delicious Drinks
At this year’s Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival, you’ll want to be on the lookout for a new array of specialty cocktails, non-alcoholic favorites, wines, beers and more!
Here are some of our favorite new beverages for 2023.
- Flowers and bees- Nuts About Cheese: gin, elderflower liqueur, lemon juice, honey, and hibiscus and lavender syrups garnished with a purple pansy.
- Raspberry limoncello-ade- Garlic Kissed: limoncello, grapefruit liqueur, house-made mint syrup, raspberry syrup and lemon juice, garnished with a white orchid.
- Echo Park cooler- LA Style: Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Co. Ceylon & raspberry rose tea, raspberry purée, lychee and rose syrups and lime juice garnished with a lime wheel (Nonalcoholic).
- Blueberry pancake cold brew- Berry Patch: Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Co. Mexico origin coffee, maple, brown butter and demerara syrup, and oat milk with a blueberry sweet cream made with cream, oat milk, vanilla syrup, blueberry syrup and purée (Nonalcoholic)
The Return of Fan-Favorite Member Items
In addition to the delectable new dishes and drinks featured above, some crowd favorites are returning including:
- IPA sausage dog- California Craft Brews: on a pretzel roll with onion-pepper jardinière, cheddar cheese sauce and malt vinegar-onion crunch.
- Grilled top sirloin- Garlic Kissed: with roasted garlic-Gruyère smashed potatoes and black garlic chimichurri.
- Chile relleno empanada- Peppers Cali-Ente: with arbol pepper salsa and oaxaca and cotija cheeses.
- Ribeye for Two, paired with a specially selected glass of wine- Lamplight Lounge: a 28-ounce, bone-in ribeye with glazed baby carrots, poblano-potato bake, roasted mushrooms, cipollini onions and bourbon-bacon compound butter, followed by cookies and cream donuts for dessert.
- Mickey Mouse-shaped macaron- Nuts About Cheese: chocolate Mickey macaron filled with caramel ganache and SNICKERS bar pieces.
