Rebel Wilson Admits To Special Treatment From Disneyland After Getting Banned
It’s nothing out of the ordinary to see celebrities enjoying Disney’s Southern California Theme Parks. Conversely, as far as we know, it isn’t normal protocol for Guests to get the special treatment Rebel Wilson just divulged, especially after being banned.
Rebel Wilson
Rebel Wilson is no stranger to Disneyland. Guests have often spotted her out and about at the Parks.
Wilson’s not shy about her love for Disney, frequently sharing her adventures on social media. Recently, she made headlines for getting engaged in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle.
Now, she’s turning heads for another reason. In an interview with The Daily Show this week, she shared that she actually got banned from Disneyland.
She says, “I took a photo in a secret bathroom inside Disneyland, which is illegal at Disneyland, and I got officially banned for 30 days.” Fans are well versed in Disney Park bans, knowing that if they cross the line, they could be asked to leave, and prohibited from coming back.
While some bans only last for a period of time, Disney Parks do enforce lifetime bans in some cases. Rebel Wilson’s ban spanned a 30-day period.
Special Treatment
Celebrity special treatment is somewhat of a hot-button subject these days. That being said, it probably isn’t sitting well with fans that Disney was so flexible with Wilson, simply due to her celebrity status.
Referencing Disney, Rebel shares, “They called me up and said, ‘Rebel what 30 days do you not want to come to Disneyland because you’re away filming a movie or something?’ And I said, ‘Aw, June would be fine’.”
While the actress may have thought this was funny, people have changed their outlook on celebrities since the pandemic. I’m not sure the general public thinks the story is as comical as she does.
It just confirms what most have become sick and tired of, VIP treatment for the “rich and famous.” It may be amusing to some, but to others, it just doesn’t sit right.
