10 Ways To Celebrate HER Story at Disney World
If you’ve been following along with MickeyBlog, you’ll know that March is officially Women’s History Month. There’s a wide array of awesome ways that you and celebrate women when you visit Walt Disney World during the month of March. Disney’s “Celebrate HER Story” even features inspiring female cast members, beloved heroines and more.

HER Story Goes Green at the EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival
The 2023 EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival kicked off yesterday and taking central stage are a handful of new topiary displays. New topiaries feature fearless Princesses like Tiana from The Princess and the Frog. The Madrigal Sisters from the award-winning film Encanto also make their Flower and Garden fest debut.
Another great way to celebrate HER Story is by checking out the Garden Rocks Concert Series. Among this year’s performers are some powerful female voices including Berlin and the Pointer Sisters. Performances take place nightly during the Flower and Garden Fest at the American Gardens Theater in the American Adventure Pavilion.

Find Inspiration at Disney Springs Art Walk
While shopping and dining at Disney Springs, take time to explore Disney Springs Art Walk: A Canvas of Expression. As part of Celebrate HER Story, the walk includes a talented women artists including Stacey Aoyama, Leah Abucayan, Nani Chacon and Nneka Jones. New artist Thao Huyhn French will also be adding her work this month! Stop by and check it out from March 18th through April 1st.

Check Out Live Entertainment at Disney Springs
Throughout the month of March, you’ll be able to dance and sing along with live entertainment from incredible women artists. On Sundays, Mondays and Thursdays you’ll find acts and bands with an emphasis on female artists. This includes names like Ladies of Motown, The Betties and more! You’ll find performances at Orange Node, Waterview Park, AdventHealth Waterside Stage and Dockside Margaritas.
Make Memories with Magic Shots
Put yourself at the center of your favorite Disney stories with amazing Disney PhotoPass Magic Shots. Options include Edna Mode as well as characters from Encanto and The Princess and the Frog. Also be on the lookout for HER Story props that celebrate Disney Legends Harriet Burns, Leota Toombs and Mary Blair.
Be on the Lookout for Special Resort Photo Backdrops
Staying onsite at a Walt Disney World Resort? During Women’s History, be on the lookout for Celebrate HER Story photo backdrops. These photo locations can be found at most resort hotels. Be sure to share them on your social media channels using the hashtag #CelebrateHERStory.
Mingle With Disney’s Iconic Female Characters at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
You never know who might show up during Disney’s Celebrate HER Story celebration. You may see Mrs. Incredible, Edna Mode and more mingling with the crowds at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Get ready for some action-packed greetings, hugs and photos.
Indulge in Female Chef-Created Dishes Across Walt Disney World
Bring your appetites when visiting Walt Disney World during Women’s History Month. You’ll find some beautiful and flavorful eats and treats created by female chefs across Walt Disney World. A few highlights include:
- Chocolate ‘Muse’ You Cake – Available at Disney’s All-Star Resorts food courts, this goodie features Chocolate Mousse, Orange-ginger Panna Cotta, Sugar Cookie, Chocolate Glaze and Black Current Whipped Cream. This delectable dessert was created by Chef Assistant Ashley.
- Coconut Flan – Created by Chef Assistant Meg, this treat is available at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort and features Passion Fruit Sauce, Fresh Passionfruit, Mango, Hibiscus Tuille and Edible Flowers.
- Sponge Cake – Available at Sunshine Seasons in The Land Pavilion at EPCOT, this treat was created by Chef Assistant Anna and inspired by Marie Curie. The Sponge Cake is Earl Grey Tea Flavored and comes with Lavender Yogurt Cream.
Celebrate HER Story with Crafted Cocktails and Wines that Support Women-Owned Businesses
Ladies, kick back and relax – You’ve earned it, with some of this Women’s History Month tipples.
- The Ginger Whiskey – Available at Tiffins Restaurant and Nomad Lounge in Disney’s Animal Kingdom features Uncle Nearest Whiskey (which is both a Black and Women-owned and operated business.) Other ingredients include hints of ginger and brown sugar.
- “HER Hops” Beef Flight – Over at Disney Springs, City Works Eatery and Pour House has crafted a special beer flight that features brews made by women-owned or women-led breweries.
- Cinderella’s Royal Table will also be offering selections from the McBride Sisters Wine Company which is a Black-owned and female-led wine business. varieties to be on the lookout for include:
- McBride Sisters Sparkling Brut Rosé, Hawke’s Bay
- McBride Sisters Sauvignon Blanc, Marlborough
- McBride Sisters Chardonnay, Central Coast
Satisfy Your Sweet Tooth With Women-Inspired Treats
Head to The Ganachery at Disney Springs for a special sweet treat inspired by Ahsoka Tano. The “Ahsoka Pop” is a plant-based coconut and blueberry-swirled ganache which is topped with 65% dark chocolate. Inside you’ll find a blue swirl that represents the blue and white stripes you’ll find on the head and tails of Ahsoka Tano. The outside is hand-decorated with the fulcrum symbol.

Celebrate HER Story with the Women of Imagineering
The Play Disney Parks app will feature a “Women of Imagineering” trivia game for Women’s History Month that highlights current and former female Disney Imagineers and the incredible contributions they have made to The Walt Disney Company.
