Disneyland Gets Hit With Extremely Rare Snowfall!
Here’s something you don’t see every day, and I can tell you that firsthand. Yesterday, Disneyland got hit with an extremely rare snowfall!
Disneyland
Though I recently moved out of state, I was born and raised in Orange County, California. I lived within 20 minutes of Disneyland for over 35 years and was a Passholder for most of my adult life.
Those who live in Orange County can attest to the fact that basically, the weather is the same day in and day out. There are no real differences when it comes to the seasons, with predominantly sunny skies daily.
Southern Californians are so used to this pattern, that when rain hits, it becomes a dramatic ordeal! Storm watches seem to occur over the sprinkling of light showers.
I can recall one occasion when I was in elementary school where it randomly snowed for a few minutes. We were in the middle of class in Costa Mesa, when we suddenly realized a light snow was falling, something you never see in Orange County!
That was over 30 years ago. Yesterday, it happened again, and at Disneyland of all places!

If you didn’t see numerous videos pop up on your for you page or on social media, here’s a recap. A random downfall of hail was followed by a dusting of snow at The Happiest Place on Earth!
Although visitors were prepared for the possibility of rain, they never expected to see real snow! The only time Disneyland Guests get to experience a White Christmas is in bubble form, at the fireworks show during the holidays!

Locals were particularly excited about the rare event, taking to social media to share the news! Though the technical term for what Southern Californians experienced is graupel, the soft, white droppings are still extremely rare for Orange County.
Disneyland Guests were obviously shocked and giddy about the sighting!
Can't tell if that's real or fake snow on Matterhorn Mountain today. 🏔️ #Disneyland

Disney Parks released a video about the surprising occurrence on TikTok! It also shared a humorous Tweet about the event!
I still can’t believe it happened. Disneyland actually got hit with snowfall!
