Good Day La Commits Faux Pas About Disney Ride in Their Own Backyard
Disney issues many safety limits and warnings in order to keep everyone safe in the parks, even if it’s inconvenient.
In addition to a family being criticized for posting a “ride hack” that would enable their son to meet a height requirement, a dangerous TikTok trend recently encouraged riders to break safety rules on a certain Disneyland Resort ride, leading Disney to issue a new safety warning.
But while covering these controversies, one news organization got the Disney Parks…a little confused.
A Disneyland/EPCOT Mix-Up
In a funny turn of events, Good Day LA reported about the unsafe TikTok trend leading to incidents on Guardians of the Galaxy — Mission: BREAKOUT!, except…they used footage of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind??

I assume the TikTok trend is getting on a ride at DCA and somehow being transported to EPCOT? 👀😬 pic.twitter.com/YYbZazF6Rm

Cosmic Rewind is actually located in Disney World in EPCOT, while Mission: BREAKOUT! is located in Disneyland Resort in Disney California Adventure.
Admittedly, it’s not that surprising that someone would get confused due to their names — they both begin with “Guardians of the Galaxy,” after all. They are, however, very different rides.
While Cosmic Rewind is an indoor roller coaster, Mission: BREAKOUT! was converted from the Tower of Terror, and it continues to function as a drop ride.
It’s all in good fun, and it’s also amusing to imagine that by unfastening your seatbelt on Mission: BREAKOUT!, you end up transported all the way over to EPCOT.
Truthfully, we wouldn’t mind a portal connecting Disney World and Disneyland! Disney Imagineers — are you listening??
