Genie+ Sells Out For the Second Day in a Row in Disney World
President’s Day weekend has brought CROWDS to Disney World.

President’s Day weekend crowds
When a holiday, a runDisney marathon weekend, and Mardi Gras collide, you get serious crowds. In addition to Genie+ rising to $29 per person, per day (which we saw previously during the holiday season), Genie+ also sold out for the first time on Sunday, February 19th. And today, February 20th, we have a similar story.
Disney Genie+ Sells Out AGAIN
For the second day in a row and only the second time, Disney Genie+ has sold out in Disney World. If you log into the My Disney Experience app, you’ll now find this message.

In case you missed it, Genie+ is a paid service that replaced the previously free FastPass+ program. With Genie+, guests pay a daily fee (per person) between $15 to $29 depending on the day, in order to access faster ride Lightning Lanes.
Even with the peak Genie+ price of $29, the service managed to sell out both yesterday and today, which suggests that Disney was perhaps not entirely prepared for the onslaught of crowds this weekend.

When Disney updated Genie+ service details in May 2022, it was noted in the fine print that Genie+ could sell out, but we had yet to see it actually happen until yesterday.
Guests who purchased Genie+ earlier in the day can still use the service for the remainder of the day.

You can purchase Genie+ beginning at midnight on the date of your visit, but you can’t make any Genie+ Lightning Lane reservations until 7AM.
If you’re planning a visit during a busy time in Disney World, you may want to get Genie+ purchased as soon as you’re eligible.
