Perfect WDW Restaurants for Romantic Celebrations
Did you miss Valentine’s Day this year? Or did you purposely skip it?
With overcrowded restaurants and pricey specialty menus, some people can’t stand the holiday. Personally, my husband and I never go out on February 14th.
Instead, we prefer to celebrate Valentine’s Day later in the month. We love treating ourselves to a sumptuous meal at a romantic venue without the rush and expectations. And we know there’s no place more romantic than Walt Disney World.
If you’re rolling your eyes, it’s because you haven’t explored the grown-up side of the resort. While characters and whimsy abound, it is also a popular destination for lovers and honeymooners alike.

Some of my best (and most romantic) meals have been at Disney World. Allow me to reminisce about some special restaurants that your taste buds will fall adore.
Your belated Valentine’s Day plans await.
Monsieur Paul – EPCOT World Showcase
After a lengthy closure, this exquisite French culinary experience has reopened its doors. It is currently a prix fixe experience, and the menu looks drool worthy.
While I haven’t eaten since its reopening, I remember my own dining experience.
The restaurant’s design was elegant and pristine. The waiters were attentive and warm. Most importantly, the food was divine.
(I can still taste the fluffy pastries and snapper covered in tasty potato scales.)
Also, I remember how quiet the restaurant felt. Monsieur Paul was truly a reprieve, I’m eager to return someday.
California Grill – Contemporary Resort
I have gushed about this restaurant in more articles than I can count, and it still isn’t enough. California Grill is one of my favorite date-night dinners in the world.
Make reservations in advance, but whatever you do, wait for a table by the window. There is nothing more beautiful than the views of a glittering Magic Kingdom.
The views are worth the price of admission alone, but California Grill also serves amazing fare. You can’t go wrong with any sushi roll, hand-cut steak, or seasonal flatbread.
Savor your feast and stick around for a view of the fireworks. The nearby observation deck can be chilly, but snuggling can cure that!

The Hollywood Brown Derby – Hollywood Studios
Hollywood Studios is not the park for foodies, but this gem of a restaurant is. Designed to mimic the original Brown Derby restaurant in California, this venue captures the romance and mystery golden age cinema.
Gawk at the dozens of celebrity caricatures and slide into a plush booth for two. Inhale sea salt butter-covered rolls as you scan the impressive menu. (May I recommend the Cobb Salad which is prepared tableside?)
Take your time enjoying your meal. For dessert, sip on a smokey cocktail and splurge on a piece of refreshing Grapefruit Cake.
For years, I passed the Hollywood Brown Derby by. I kept forgetting it in the sea of thrill rides and stage shows.
Now, I have a hard time passing it up. The atmosphere oozes romance and the food warrants return trips. Play it again Sam.
Tiffins – Animal Kingdom
Animal Kingdom may seem like an unexpected choice for a romantic meal, and yet, here we are. Amid wildlife, exotic flair, and generally humid weather – Tiffins provides a culinary respite.
Take a seat in this restaurant with its deluxe resort vibes. Splurge on a specialty cocktail (or two) before selecting dinner from a unique menu.

In my experience, the Charred Octopus and Bread Service (with delicious dippings) was an ideal start. Follow this up with either the Butter Chicken or Short Rib for an unforgettable meal.
I found it hard to pace myself, but if I had, I would’ve ended my meal with The Lion King caramel brownie.

Simply, Tiffins is a stand-out restaurant. Its menu fires on all cylinders and is more than worthy of date-night hype.
I highly recommend getting out of the Orlando heat and sneaking away to this oasis.
Be Our Guest – The Magic Kingdom
Hear me out. Yes, Be Our Guest can be crowded and overrated. But it’s also based on one of the most romantic Disney movies of all time.
I’d recommend skipping the main ballroom and finding a cozy table in one of the two adjoining rooms.

The West Wing provides a moody backdrop for a calmer meal (enchanted rose included). On the other side, the serene Rose Gallery features larger-than-life portraits, a giant music box, and twinkling background music.
Either locale is a great place to scoop up a table and enjoy Grey Stuff Cupcakes with your beloved.
Be Our Guest is currently running off a prix fixe menu, which includes choices for both picky and adventurous eaters. Either way, you can’t deny the excitement of dining in an enchanted castle.
No matter what style, ambiance, or type of food you prefer – Disney World has an ideal spot for the romantic meal of your dreams. Be brave and try something new and exciting, you might fall in love all over again.
