That’s right, with March 1st just on the horizon, the 2023 Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival will be here before we know it, and us MickeyBloggers are all abuzz with excitement.
We’ve already been spying beautiful flower displays and amazing character topiaries, but it’s the arrival of new butterflies that have set our antennae buzzing today!
Year after year, one of the most popular attractions to pop up at the annual Flower & Garden festival is the Butterfly Garden.
With hundreds of butterflies dancing among an array of technicolor florals, this extra-special garden is always a spectacle for guests to admire and explore. So, you can imagine our utmost excitement, when we noticed that construction has began to re-erect the garden for this year’s upcoming festival!
As you can see from our photos, a large portion of space has been blocked off to guests, over in the World Nature neighborhood of Epcot.
Granted, these green screen barriers and bared metallic frames aren’t the most attractive of features to look upon at the moment, but the finished result is sure to be spectacular!
From the photos, you can see the frames that will hold the screen roofing that houses all the butterflies, to save them from flapping away into World Showcase and beyond.
If this house design is going to be the same as previous years, we can expect a large walkthrough attraction, with plenty of spaces to stop, admire, and learn about our butterfly friends. As it’s all encased in, it will be quite a warm space to move around, but all the flowers that will fill it will make the place as fragrant, colorful, and vibrant as ever!
Can you spot the Land pavilion peeking up above the canopy of trees behind the construction site?
As the festival start date of March 1st draws ever closer, we’ll be sure to keep a close eye on the construction of this beautiful butterfly garden. It won’t be long now before all the butterflies move in for the season!
Meanwhile, just around the corner, one very special butterfly has taken its spot for the festival already. Want to see?
Just across the way in World Nature, stands this dazzling butterfly display. Unlike the other famed topiaries at the Flower & Garden Festival, this giant butterfly is actually crafted from hundreds of tiny succulents, all coming together to create the most intricate and textured butterfly design that we can’t help but admire!
We’re sure this will become a hugely popular photo spot during the festival, what with all the vibrant foliage and florals both in and surrounding the giant, majestic insect!
We hope you have enjoyed catching up on the latest, butterfly-centric preparation work ahead of the 2023 Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival with us, and hope you’ll join us as we count down the days until the celebration commences at the start of next month.
Meanwhile, don’t forget that there are still a couple of days remaining for the Epcot International Festival of the Arts, which is set to wrap up at the end of this week. It’s an exciting time in Epcot, and we can’t wait to watch the park transform from one beautiful festival into another!
