Walt Disney World Celebrates Cast Members with 10+ Years of Service

Disney Parks Blog shares that The Walt Disney Company pays tribute to long-time employees at Service Celebrations. Commemorating those who have worked at Disney for 10 years or longer, it honors various anniversaries.

This tradition has been a fixture of Disney World and is beloved by Cast Members and Imagineers. Honorees come together with their families at the event in celebration of their Disney careers.
Cast Member Stories
There are so many wonderful stories from Cast Members who’ve worked at Disney for a decade or longer. Heather and Duane just celebrated her 10-year anniversary, with Heather sharing what the event means to them.

She said, “knowing that everyone recognizes how much we do is an amazing feeling. And where else can you have a party with Cinderella Castle dressed up for the 50th Anniversary as the backdrop?”
Disney has been an important part of her relationship with husband, Duane since it began. The couple started working for Disney World after college.
They got engaged at Magic Kingdom. Their wedding took place at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn.
Duane shares, “we both wanted to work at Disney to become magic makers ever since our first trip together. I remember visiting Walt Disney World with Heather and seeing the joy on everyone’s face.”
He adds, “after that, there was never a question in our minds about where we wanted to start our careers. 10 years later, and we still love every moment.”
Dianne and Don met via their jobs at The Most Magical Place on Earth. Dianne is now celebrating 45 years, and her husband Don is celebrating 35.

Dianne shares, “Don and I have so many fond memories from our time at Disney, and getting to celebrate our accomplishments at an event like this means a lot. These events truly show appreciation from the entire company.”
Although these 2 couples have different stories, they all agree on one thing. Their favorite part about working as Disney Cast Members is the special moments they create for Guests.
