The Walt Disney Company just underwent its Q1 FY23 Earnings Results Webcast, and some important news broke. One of the interesting comments gleaned from the conversation involved Bob Iger’s reference to franchise integration within Disney Parks.

As most Disney fans know, Bob Iger was recently reinstated as the Chief Executive Officer of The Walt Disney Company. Replacing the controversial Bob Chapek, welcome changes have already occurred since his return to Disney’s helm.

At Disney’s Q1 FY23 Earnings Results Webcast, The Walt Disney Company discussed fiscal first quarter 2023 financial results via a live audio webcast. It began today at 4:30 p.m. ET / 1:30 p.m. PT.
During the call, it was revealed that Iger had an interesting conversation with Josh D’Amaro.

Franchise Integration Within Disney Parks
Apparently, after Iger’s return, he spoke with Josh D’Amaro about looking into other Disney franchises that they could integrate into the Parks while maintaining Guest satisfaction. An example would be building off of the huge success of Avatar.
The powerful duo backed up their words with actions. MickeyBlog just reported that an Avatar-themed experience is coming to Disneyland.
Disneyland Resort currently includes no references to the movie within either Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure. It will be exciting to see how this plays out in the Parks in the coming years.
