PHOTOS: ‘Journey of Water’ Construction Progress

The new Moana-inspired area coming to Epcot is making some major leaps in its construction progress. Today, we caught several glimpses into the active site!

We spotted a construction crew hard at work on the new area. A portion of the pathway is now fully paved.

The workers were also seen pouring a low concrete barrier wall that appears as though it might separate the guest areas from backstage (pictured below). 

While a majority the space looks like it has a way to go, some areas already seem to be complete.

For example, the mountain structure- complete with a blue heart of Te Fiti symbol- has already received finishing touches. 

The supporting structure for the water elements looks to be structurally complete, as construction workers moved through the paved and covered area.
