Construction Update: Summer House By the Lake
Our MickeyBlogger Ed popped over to Disney Springs in Walt Disney World today and decided to pop by the future home of the downtown district’s newest eatery – Summer House By the Lake.
Summer House on the Lake will reportedly open at some point this year. However, an official date has not yet been given.
Summer House on the Lake builds on the success other locations including Bethesda and Chicago.
Once open, we’re told that the eatery will have a beach house feel.
As you can see, construction is coming along on the Summer House. You can now see a structure starting to take shape.
A crane was on site hoisting pieces into place during our visit.
We’re told that the Summer House will include a full-service restaurant, in-house bakery and will feature an impressive wine and cocktail list.
Summer House on the Lake is going into the area of Disney Springs that formerly belonged to Bongos Cafe.
A white and blue construction wall currently surrounds the exterior of the Summer House site.
It has billboards that provide passers-by with a sneak peek of some of the delectable eats and treats you’ll be able to enjoy when the Summer House opens.
This is a story that we will continue to follow closely.
