Pixar Pier
D23 shares that animation “collides with reality” at Pixar Pier! With a colorful variety of attractions and characters, this section of the Park is truly magical.
It also dons some fantastic tributes that Disney fans and movie buffs will undoubtedly appreciate. Just like the Easter eggs seen in Pixar films, Disney California Adventure Park is loaded with hidden details!
Pixar was founded on February 3, 1986. Let’s celebrate its anniversary by looking at some of the Easter Eggs at Pixar Pier, as reported by D23.
Easter Eggs
- Lamplight Lounge Menu – “Goofball Island” is a themed drink that pays tribute to Inside Out, while “Scream Canister” and “2319” are beverages referencing Monsters Inc.
- Poultry Palace – While the Adorable Snowman’s Frosted Treats pays tribute to Monsters Inc. and Señor Buzz’s Churros references Toy Story 3, Poultry Palace is a subtle nod to the 2011 short Small Fry.
- Incredicoaster – Take a deep breath and you’ll smell the aroma of chocolate chip cookies at this thrilling coaster. Jack-Jack Cookie Num Nums will be beckoning you in as you exit the ride.
- Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind – Although “a bug’s land” has been replaced by Avengers Campus, Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind pays tribute to the former area. While the theming has changed, it’s basically the same attraction as Flik’s Flyers!
- Candy Corn Toss – Another “a bug’s land” tribute lies in one of the midway’s game booths. Although Guests used to catch Heimlich at his Chew Chew Train, they can now find him at the Candy Corn Toss!
- Hidden Mickeys: Pixar Style – Next time you’re at the DCA, take a look under the canopy of Pixar Promenade. You’ll find silhouettes of characters such as Edna Mode and Bruce the shark in the space between the beams.
- Angry Dogs – Items on this menu pay tribute to Anger from Inside Out. Included are the Angry Dog and Slightly Annoyed Dog. Even the condiments bear unique names! “Keeping It Together” refers to ketchup, while “Raging” refers to buffalo
