Disney Princesses Reimagined in the CreativeSoul Doll Collection
We have an exciting announcement! The Disney Princess x CreativeSoul doll collection is now available on shopDisney.com!
These special edition Disney princess dolls were designed by the husband and wife duo behind CreativeSoul Photography. Kahran and Regis Bethencourt are the founders of the Georgia based photography studio.

The four reimagined princesses included in this collection are Cinderella, Tiana, Rapunzel, and Snow White. The new collection flips the script and creates a much needed diverse lens from which to see the original Disney princesses.
The vision for each doll was to incorporate Afrocentric design elements including African fabrics, jewelry, and naturally textured hair. Undoubtedly, this stunning collection will empower children of color and show them that anyone can be Disney royalty.

The CreativeSoul doll reimagined from Princess Cinderella stands confidently with her pumpkin coach hand bag and her glamorously elevated updo.
The color pallet of the vibrant dress is derived from Cinderella’s signature ball gown.

Additionally, CreativeSoul pared each doll with a coordinating image depicting the real life princess. Does’t Cinderella look so wonderfully empowered here?

The reimagined Tiana doll has an dynamic stance, naturally cascading locks, and an adorable frog clutch.
CreativeSoul kept the essence of Tiana’s original look but elevated it to the nth degree.

Next, Disney’s notoriously long-haired princess, Rapunzel, is reinterpreted with long, flowing, and braided hair that is embellished with delicate flowers. The color pallet is also inspired by Rapunzel’s signature dress.

From the stance and expression of each model to the intricately designed costumes, each photograph emanates the beauty and strength of diversity.

I cannot help but revel in the confidence each model emits in their photos. The Bethencourt’s have created a spectacular collection that embodies the vibrancy and beauty of the culture. Bravo!
