Disney World’s Liberty Square Riverboat Now Skips Over Splash Mountain Narration
Fans are still processing the loss of a beloved ride, as updates continue across Magic Kingdom. Disney World’s Liberty Square Riverboat is now skipping over its Splash Mountain narration.
Yesterday we reported that the Walt Disney World Railroad narration had already been updated, after Splash Mountain’s closure. Walls are also closed up for the Splash Mountain portion of the train ride.
The new railroad narration says, “On a more musical note, just ahead, I heard some new critters are moving in and looking to make a splash. Take a listen, we’re almost there.”
Our MickeyBlogger is at Magic Kingdom today, where he brings you an update from the Liberty Square Riverboat.
Liberty Square Riverboat
Disney invites Guests to “cruise the scenic Rivers of America aboard an authentic steam-powered paddle wheeler.” This beautiful Colonial-era vessel takes you on a scenic tour around Tom Sawyer Island.
The relaxing cruise provides excellent views over a half-mile stretch of water. As you travel past different attractions, a Mark Twain-inspired narrator reminisces about his time on the Mississippi.
Travelers will get a unique perspective of Magic Kingdom on the 17-minute trip. Sights from the American frontier are included.
Splash Mountain Narration
While the train adjusted its narration, the Liberty Square Riverboat completely scratched it. For the time being, it doesn’t reference the ride at all.
Our MickeyBlogger boarded the vessel at Magic Kindom today and noticed its absence. Yesterday, Splash Mountain officially closed, as retheming began for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.
Inspired by The Princess and the Frog, it’s due to open at the Park in late 2024. It’s been a rough couple of days as fans rushed to get their last chance to experience the attraction.
Afterward, the abruptness of sign removals and updates hit the Disney community hard. It’s sad to see the Splash Mountain narration gone onboard Disney World’s Liberty Square Riverboat.
