Avatar 2 Continues To Impress at Box Office Surpassing $2 Billion Mark
James Cameron’s long-anticipated sequel Avatar 2, continues to soar at the box office. For the 6th consecutive week in a row, Avatar 2 has maintained the No 1. spot at the domestic box office!

According to a recent piece in Variety, over the weekend Avatar 2 raked in an additional $20 million at the box office. So far, in the US, the film has brought in $598 million with the distinction of being the 13th highest-grossing in history. By comparison, Incredibles 2 brought in $608 million, Star Wars: The Last Jedi ($620 million) and The Avengers $623 million.
If Avatar 2 continues its momentum, it is ultimately expected to overtake some of the movies listed above.

If we’re talking worldwide gross, the box office figures for Avatar 2 are equally as impressive. Variety points out that the film currently has the distinction of being the 6th film to cross the $2 billion mark worldwide. It currently sits at $2.02 worldwide. In the process it took down Marvel juggernaut Spider-Man: No Way Home which brought in $1.91 million.
The next milestone we’ll be looking out for is whether Avatar 2 surpasses Avengers: Infinity War as the 5th biggest movie which came in at $2.04 billion.
