Former Disney Cast Member Shares What She Never Buys at the Parks
I have a feeling this may be controversial so hold on to your hats and glasses folks! A former Disney Cast Member is sharing what she never buys at the Parks.
Former Disney Cast Member
Dana Bisbee is one of the rare employees who has worked at both Disneyland and Disney World. Last year, we shared her 9 tips for Park visitors.
Now, Bisbee is divulging 7 things she never buys at the Parks. Let’s take a look at her list, and see if we agree!
Things She Never Buys at the Parks
1 – Balloons
I have to agree on this one. Balloons cost around $12 to $17.
Once purchased, you have to carry them around, which can be inconvenient. Bisbee recommends purchasing one at the end of the day if balloons are your jam!
2 – Popcorn Buckets
This is almost certainly going to ruffle some feathers but to each his own! Popcorn Buckets are a beloved collectible at Disney Parks, typically ranging from $17 to $25.
We’ve all seen people waiting hours to buy limited-edition versions. While Bisbee doesn’t find the purchase worth it, I must admit, I love having mine displayed at home!
3 – Pet Toys
Although the Disney Tails collection is adorable, toys range from $18 to $26. I have to agree with Bisbee on this one; I can’t justify spending that much on a dog toy.
Don’t get me wrong, my dog is my baby, but like Bisbee, I’d rather invest in a collar, harness, or spirit jersey instead.
4 – Lollipops
These colorful treats range in cost from between $3 and $7. Although Bisbee says there are better treat options for the same price, I must admit, my son used to light up upon receiving one of these!
5 – National Geographic Line
This clothing line debuted last year and ranges from $40 to $190. Bisbee says the collection feels “out of place.”
I’d have to agree with her. I think it’s safe to say, most fans would prefer to spend that amount of money on products with an obvious Disney design.
6 – Bubble Wands
My son used to love playing with these! That being said, Bisbee says she’d never spend $25 to $32 on one.
7 – Key Chains
Disney Parks sell a lot of key chains. Although they’re cute, are they worth $9 to $15?
This list boils down to what you get for the price. Obviously, that looks different for each person, but it’s interesting to hear a Cast Member’s take!
Do you agree with her thoughts? What are some things you never buy at the Parks?
