First Look: Cast Member Costumes for Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway
We’ve got an exciting first look to share with you! Disneyland Cast Members are getting ready to welcome guests aboard Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway in Toontown starting on January 27th. With under 10 days to go, Disney is giving us a sneak peak of the Runaway Railway Cast Member Costumes.
As you can see from these vibrant images, the Costume Design and Development team at Disneyland has undone themselves, creating a “trainsformable” costume. The outfits feature reversible features meaning that cast members can switch their costume on the fly!
The Runaway Railway costumes are truly something to behold with their eye-catching color-story. We’re told that there’s even Hidden Mickeys on these outfits as well as other nods to the new Toontown attraction.
“The artwork that’s on the vest is designed by Joseph Holt, who’s [an] animator and artist who works on all of the cartoon shorts,” said Yonit Olshan, costume designer. “Our cast members and their costumes are completely in line with the vision for the entire attraction; they really are a part of the show.”
