Avatar 3 Will Have a New Narrator

Although Avatar: The Way of Water is still dominating the box office, fans are already looking forward to what’s next for the franchise.

Based on the massive success of the original Avatar and its sequel, James Cameron and Disney have already announced that Avatar 3, 4, and 5 will be coming to theaters over the next 5 years.

As of right now, the plan is for Avatar 3 to arrive in December 2024, followed by Avatar 4 in December 2026, and finally Avatar 5 in December 2028.

A Breakout Star

With all this talk of the future of Pandora, James Cameron has revealed that while Avatar 3 is largely finished, he may make some adjustments to the film based on fan reaction to Avatar: The Way of Water. In his recent interview with “Soundtracking With Edith Bowman” Cameron talked about the future film.

“I’m going to take a moment when the dust clears to assess what people loved and what they responded to the most in this current release, and then I may go back and tinker a little bit [with ‘Avatar 3’],” Cameron said.

One of the biggest takeaways from Avatar: The Way of Water has been the fan reaction to Lo’ak, Kale and Neytiri’s middle child.

When expounding on how well the character has been received, Cameron let it slip that Lo’ak would be the narrator for the next Avatar film.

“So I might find ways to…he’s already the narrator. I’m giving away something here, but this is OK. I think it could be intriguing for people to think about what’s coming” Cameron revealed.

Different Perspectives

While most of the details surrounding Avatar 3 remain under wraps, fans will certainly be excited to experience Pandora from a new perspective.

In his interview, Cameron also revealed that each subsequent Avatar film would have a different narrator.
