Ke Huy Quan Reveals He’d Return to Short Round Character from ‘Indiana Jones’
A nostalgic actor from the Indiana Jones franchise has some exciting news! Key Huy Quan reveals he’d return to his character, Short Round if approached by Disney!

Quan just celebrated a big win at the Golden Globes. He took home the award for Best Supporting Actor in a Musical or Comedy for his performance in Everything Everywhere All At Once.

Seeing Quan back in the limelight again has people wondering if he’d return to the Indiana Jones franchise. Fans are excited at the prospect; so much so, one has come up with a new idea, complete with a poster!

His idea for a new spinoff series on Disney+ would be entitled, The Tales of Short Round. Included is a famous picture of a young Ke Huy Quan and Indy from Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.

In the movie, Quan plays Indy’s trusted associate, Short Round. Giant Freakin Robot reports that it would be great to see what happened to the character after he helped save Indy’s life.

In an interview with the Happy Sad Confused Podcast, Quan expressed interest in returning to the role. He stated, “If Disney or Lucasfilm ever come to me and say, ‘We want to do a Short Round spinoff,’ I’m there man!”
People would certainly love to see that! Last year, a heartwarming photo of Ke Huy Quan and Harrison Ford went viral.

Snapped at the D23 Expo 2022, it conjured up feelings of nostalgia for fans of the iconic franchise. While it was doubtful that Harrison Ford would ever return to play Indy again, he ended up returning for a fifth sequel.
Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny premieres on June 30, 2023. That being said, who knows, it’s possible fans could get what they ask for someday, and see the two reunited again in film!

We’re happy to hear that Ke Huy Quan would be willing to return to play Short Round. Maybe someday, he will!
