James Earl Jones Celebrates 92nd Birthday!
A beloved Disney/Star Wars actor is celebrating a special occasion today. Happy 92nd Birthday to James Earl Jones!
James Earl Jones
Born in Mississippi in 1931, James Earl Jones is a versatile, American actor. Known for performances in movies, television, and theatre, his career spans seven decades.

Jones began acting in Michigan at the Ramsdell Theatre. During the 1960s, he became one of the best-known Shakespearean actors of all time, with roles in Othello, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Hamlet, to name a few.
Many know him for his iconic voice, which has lent itself to live-action, voice acting, and voice-over work. The actor has participated in several Disney and Star Wars projects over the years, and is beloved by fans!

One of his most notable roles is that of Darth Vader. In addition to voicing him in the films, he’s reprised his role in Star Wars Rebels, Rogue One, The Rise of Skywalker, and Obi-Wan Kenobi.
He’s also well known for voicing Mufasa in the classic animated film, The Lion King. He went on to reprise his role in The Lion King II: Simba’s Pride, The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar, and Jon Favreau’s 2019 CGI remake.

Jones is one of the international hosts in Fantasia 2000. His presence is felt in the Parks on the Star Tours: The Adventures Continue attraction at Disneyland and Disney’s Hollywood Studios, through Darth Vader.
