Disneyland’s Rise of the Resistance Experienced Increase of Ride Breakdowns in 2022

I was fortunate enough to finally be able to experience this attraction on a recent trip to Disneyland. Formally, Indiana Jones Adventure held the spot as my favorite ride in the Park, but Rise of the Resistance superseded it!

I LOVE this attraction but have noticed an increase in breakdowns since its debut. My son often checks the Disneyland app during the day and can attest that it’s a common occurrence.
Increase of Ride Breakdowns in 2022
The Orange County Register reports that ride breakdowns rose from an average of 80 minutes a day in 2021, to 122 minutes a day in 2022. This is according to Thrill Data metrics, which use wait times in Disneyland’s app to track ride stoppages.

So, what’s the cause of the 52% increase? Is the attraction’s popularity to blame?
The dark ride places Guests right in the center of the action, combining four attractions to create an 18-minute immersive adventure! Thrill Data compared information from May to December in 2021 and 2022.
