Casting Call! Georgia-Based Background Actors Needed for Disney+ Show
We’ve got some fun news for Georgia residents with aspirations of seeing yourself on the small screen. A Disney Casting Call is out for a Disney+ project that will be filmed in Macon later this month. Disney is looking for background actors in Georgia.
According to a recent piece in WSB-TV, the casting call is for extras for season four of GENIUS. This show is currently streaming on Disney+.

We know that the fourth season of Genius will focus on the stories of Civil Rights leaders Martin Luther King Jr and Malcolm X.
The Casting Call is for background actors for following roles:
- Protestors
- Onlookers
- Press
- Civil Rights Leaders
In order to audition you need to be over the age of 18. Disney is looking for actors that have “natural hair” and are clean shaven. Disney also advised that they are looking for women who wear up to a size 8 dress size and men must have a chest measurement of 44″ or under.
As of going to print, filming is scheduled to take place on January 30 and 31, 2023 in Macon. Background actors will be compensated $140 for 12 hours of work plush time-and-a-half for overtime. You’ll also get $35 for a COVID-19 test. Anyone hired to be a part of the Genius production should be aware that some of the themes and actions in the series may be triggering. A sensitivity coordinator will be onsite to provide support to talent.
